You may have noticed that the HTC One Google Play Edition has a fancy red live wallpaper added to the list of live wallpapers. This new one is called "Sunbeam," and I'm going to show you quickly how you can get it on your regular HTC One right now.

If you're new to Android phones, one of the first things you've probably noticed is how notification alerts differs from Apple devices, especially in regards to getting a text message.

For someone used to the old-style HTC Sense, upgrading to an HTC One with Sense 5 is a pretty intuitive experience, but there's one thing that some users find obtrusively different. Blinkfeed, an app which aggregates newsworthy articles from various sources and pins them in a scrolling feed on your home screen.

Just because you wanted a stable, stock Android version on your HTC One doesn't mean you have to miss out on Sense because you bought or softModded to a Google Play Edition. As long as you have the Android SDK tools and you've unlocked your bootloader, you can turn your HTC One into the Developer Edition, a Sense version free of carrier bloat.

We've gotten pretty close to a Google Experience before, and even played around with the actual Google Play Edition build. However, the devs over at XDA have a much better solution: actually converting your HTC One into a complete factory-fresh Google Play Edition.

In a previous softModder guide, I detailed how to get the Jelly Bean 4.2 Photo Sphere Camera and Gallery on your HTC One running Sense 5, but that was quickly outdated with the release of the new Google Play Edition HTC One, which has a newer Camera that works great with our hardware.

With so many cloud storage services out there, many people are starting to keep their important documents online, especially when they know they'll need to view them when they're away from their computer.

Ditching Sense (HTC's stock Android Launcher) is a great way to breathe new stock-like life into your HTC One smartphone without rooting, but even that has its limitations. If you really want the full Google experience, albeit with some extras, CyanogenMod has always been the go-to ROM. In effect, this will give you an experience similar to the Google Nexus or the new HTC One Google Edition.

When you upgrade to a new Android smartphone like the HTC One, you can have browser bookmarks, Wi-Fi passwords, and other settings quickly transferred over from your old device using your Google Account backup. However, you'll still have to download apps individually from your Google Play list, and not all of your saved progress will be transferred over.

When the HTC One was announced, the fact that its IR transmitter was a side note more than a main feature made me dismiss it. When Samsung included one in the GS4, it became even less impressive. However, now that I actually have a One, I find that the "TV" app is way more than just one of Samsung's "S"-gimmicks.

These benchmarks will be useful to some users. This phone is FAST.

The HTC One is advertised as having 32GBs of total space, but I know that preloaded apps and content fills up a portion of that space. Anyone with a HTC One or know of the available amount of space on a HTC One right out of the box?

With all the buzz surrounding the HTC One release, any news of a root out? What's this S-Off thing I keep hearing about with HTC phones?

HTC has had a bad history of not pushing out Android updates in a timely manner. Any timeframe for 4.2 Jelly Bean on the HTC One? Has anything even been said by HTC?

Anyone know the official specs of the HTC One now it's been announced. I'm seeing a lot of differing information on the web and would like to know if anyone here definitively knows for sure.

I always thought Sense was a great UI overlay. Has a lot of cool new features and the next version seems to be even better. Do people prefer stock just because it is what it is? Your thoughts?

iPhone 5S/6 is just around the corner and iOS is due for version 7. Should people go ahead and get the HTC One at this point? Is iPhone really worth waiting for?
